The following sources should convince you that getting an adequate amount of fiber in our diets promotes good health. That being said, for many of us, many (if not most) of us do not consume enough fiber in our diets. This is where a fiber supplement comes in. A daily routine of fiber supplementation is extremely beneficial, especially in terms of colon health. There are a lot of fiber supplements on the market to choose from. Some are healthier choices than others. I provide some suggestion below.

Metamucil Note: I always found Metamucil to be effective but I personally do not want to ingest aspartame and Yellow 6. For this reason I have stopped using this product. The same holds true for Kirkland Signature Sugar Free Psyllium Fiber that I used to buy as a more affordable alternative to Metamucil.
